The US government aims to vaccinate 70% of all Americans against COVID-19 with at least one dose before the 4th of July as part of the White House’s “month of action” plan.
In order to do so, the Biden administration has promised a round of free beer to all above the age of 21 if America is successful in achieving the vaccination goal. The US government is partnering up with Anheuser- Busch, which is an American brewery, to conduct this promotional giveaway of beer. According to Biden, incentives like these would work wonders in pushing people towards vaccination.
White House “Month of Action”
A free round of beer isn’t the only interesting part of the newly announced “month of action” plan.
The government is forging associations with childcare centers like KinderCare, Bright Horizons, Learning Care Group and over 500 YMCAs to make vaccinations accessible to the economically weaker sections. The partnerships will award childcare services free of cost to Americans who need additional assistance and vaccine shots.
Biden has also announced measures to rope in on-site employee vaccination drives in multiple organizations.
The administration’s partnership with Anheuser-Busch is one of the many ways that the Biden government plans on convincing Americans to get vaccinated at the earliest.
US Vaccination Drive
The US vaccination drive is currently the best in the world. The Biden administration has managed to administer over 200 million doses within 100 days of his Presidency.
What’s more? The US is one of the very first countries to bring down the eligibility of people for vaccination to those aged 16 and above.
The mass immunization program under Biden has currently authorized only three vaccines, namely the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, Moderna vaccine and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
